Hill Dickinson to raise money for Prince’s Trust with Battle of the Bands
Following the success of its Battle of the Bands event last year, Hill Dickinson has returned for an encore and is re-launching its search for Manchester professionals with hidden musical talent. This year’s competition, ‘Manchester Music Makers 2’, is being hosted by the law firm at Band on the Wall in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, on Thursday October 30th.
Organised by the trainees at Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office, the event is aimed at raising funds in aid of the Prince’s Trust’s ‘Million Makers Challenge’. The challenge is to turn the seed money provided by the Trust into fundraising profit.
The competition will see bands battle to win the top prize which includes recording studio time (donated by Cotyso Studios) and an acoustic guitar (donated by Dawsons). Bands have been formed from across the Manchester business community, as well as by clients and contacts of Hill Dickinson plus a super-group featuring employees from the law firm.
Some of this year’s participants include:
Weightmans BPP Exchange Chambers Lincoln House Chambers Northern Case Management / St James Chambers
Head of Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office, Geraldine Ryan commented: “The battle of the bands was a great success last year, with the trainees managing to raise a significant amount of money for the Prince’s Trust. We hope to emulate the success this year and I’m really looking forward to what I’m sure will be a very enjoyable night out.”
Tickets to the Manchester Music Makers event are priced at £10 per person, and all proceeds will go to the Prince’s Trust. To purchase tickets or donate to the event, please contact Rob Lyons at rob.lyons@hilldickinson.com or visit the Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/musicmakers2/
