Oil Consultants Scoop Another Industry Award
North East based specialist recruitment firm, Oil Consultants Ltd, is celebrating after scooping yet another industry award.
The company’s commitment to care of its candidates, contractors and consultants was recognised as it was awarded the title of Best Contractor Care International at the Inaugural Recruiter Investing in Talent Awards.
The judges said they “were impressed with Oil Consultants’ comprehensive candidate care and management plan - which went well beyond the standard remit even for internal contractors in the sector.”
Helen Smith, CEO at Oil Consultants said, “Our candidates and consultants are a vital part of our business so to us it is only natural we would want to offer them the best possible care, but to be recognised by our industry for this approach is fantastic.”
Oil Consultants places skilled, technical personnel into contract positions for clients in over 95 countries and has a database of candidates from 90+ nationalities speaking 85 different languages. “We are placing contractors and consultants all around the world,” said Helen, “and most of the time the individuals will be working many thousands of miles away from home for weeks at a time. We realise that this can be tough not only on the those workers but also on their families, particularly when we have placed someone working in an area that has poor communications infrastructure or is near an area of political unrest.”
“Safety is the most critical factor for any oil and gas project and by looking after our consultants and their families in the way we do we ensure they can concentrate fully on the job in hand rather than worrying about how they will get home or when their next payment will arrive.”
“We are delighted to win this honour, especially as it is the first time these awards have been presented, and will continue to ensure that we deliver the highest standard of customer care to all our candidates, consultants and clients.
