Property consultancy WSB appointed to Leeds Dock

Investment firm Allied London has appointed Leeds-based property consultancy WSB as commercial agent for its waterside redevelopment at Leeds Dock.

After last month’s approval of its new super-building workspace concept, The Engine, plans for the evolution of Leeds Dock into a new city centre neighbourhood are gaining momentum.

WSB is to manage demand for the new workspace model offered by The Engine and also securing tenants for the flexible commercial space across the new neighbourhood.

Tim Gee, asset manager for Allied London in Leeds, said: “WSB is the ideal partner for us, able to provide real on-the-ground contacts and local market knowledge that ideally complements our activity.

“We are being inundated with demand for our workspace building model in Manchester and Farringdon, and our careful market research tells us there will be similar significant demand for this product in Leeds.

“We already have great interest, and I believe WSB will help us promote this offer, helping the city to strengthen its pitch to inward investors.

There is more than 100,000 sq ft of available workspace at Leeds Dock, including 58,000 sq ft of waterside ground floor studio space and 60,000 sq ft in the form of The Engine, which offers some of the largest floor plates in the city.
