The Work & Family Show returns

The Work & Family Show, the top trade event for HR professionals seeking advice on employee engagement, family-friendly working practices and diversity offerings, is to return to ExCeL London in February.

Organised by Clarion Events and My Family Care, the three day event runs from 20th – 22nd February and boasts a full day conference for HR and Diversity professionals on the Friday. Covering subjects ranging from preparing for Shared Parental Leave, helping a generation of secret carers, getting your line managers on board and creating an agile and flexible workforce, this event highlights the HR trends and solutions for 2015.

Experts from the likes of the CIPD, Hogan Lovells and employers including Citi, IBM and Centrica will share their first-hand experience of introducing family-friendly ways of working and increasing employee engagement. There will also be a thought-provoking panel debate where well-known faces and industry professionals discuss the hot topics affecting HR and diversity specialists today.

Running in conjunction with The Baby Show, the UK’s leading pregnancy and parenting event, the event also provides working parents, returners and those looking to re-enter the workforce with workshops dedicated to providing practical and personal advice and inspiration across all three days.

Oliver Black, Director of My Family Care says: “The success of last year’s first ever Work & Family Show proves there is a real demand for advice when it comes to introducing family-friendly ways of working and coping with changes in our evolving workforce. Companies are fast wising up to the fact that the more engaged a member of staff is, the better work they produce and it’s this notion – this need to look after their staff and better engage them that our expert speakers will be helping with. Today, HR professionals have to offer the very best to look after their staff and maintain talent and it’s this employer support and understanding that can make all the difference between a trusted employee staying or going.”

HR professionals, career break women and working parents from across the UK flocked to last year’s inaugural show. More than 80 inspirational speakers took to the stage, including the then Minister for Employment Relations and Consumer Affairs, Jenny Willott MP, John Timpson, the founder of Timpson’s and member of the Women’s Business Council and Vicky Pryce, the Economist and Business Consultant.

Michelle Kyles, Marketing Manager at Clarion Events says: “We were hugely proud of the success of the first ever Work & Family Show and we hope this three day event will be even better – giving HR professionals guidance on how to react to industry changes, and consumers the chance to get invaluable advice on where to go with their career to help them balance work and family.”

Those visiting the Work and Family Show will be able to get free advice on how to find a new job, address their personal development, re-invigorate their image, build their confidence, network and gather ideas on starting up their own business or franchise.

Tickets for HR delegates are available in advance from £200 plus VAT each and early bird rates apply (limited availability).

Tickets to attend The Work & Family Show visitor seminars, with access to the Work & Family Show Exhibition and The Baby Show are £40 for a full day pass. Early bird rates apply until 20th December 2014. Individual session tickets can also be purchased.
