Yorkshire businessman wins Business Person of the Year Award
Local Managing Director Jason Mace, of Gala Tent Ltd, has been shortlisted for Business Person of the Year at the South Yorkshire Business Awards held at the Victoria Hotel in Sheffield on 7th November 2014. Jason has enjoyed some great successes over the past years, and a lot of progress in the past 12 months alone. In November 2013, he opened his new venture, the Double Barrel Steakhouse in Thurcroft. This coupled with another one of his new projects, the Real Steak Stone Company, which has tapped into both the home dining and fine dining markets. Jason has also enjoyed sustained growth within the marquee manufacturing industry with Gala Tent going from strength to strength. Gala Tent has also successfully taken on several international distributors for their products in Ireland, Belgium, Slovenia and Holland. With the ambition of becoming an international player in the Marquee business Jason is hoping to expand on this and gain further distributors around Europe and eventually the rest of the world. Jason said, âExpansion is the key to Gala Tent’s success, tapping into countries we had previously not sold in provides us with a wider market to sell our products. We hope to become a serious European player in the marquee business over the next few years and have a showroom in every major cityâ. Jason said, âIt’s a great honour to have my achievements acknowledged in this way by receiving this highly commended Award. I am extremely happy with my Awardâ. Gala Tent Ltd have also been honoured with a National UK IT Award for their in-house built secure payment system that has completely stopped fraudulent orders from going through. Gala Tent Ltd won the Security Innovation Award against large IT names such as BT and Firehost, whilst the company have also been shortlisted for several Business Awards by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. Gala Tent Ltd are looking to expand their team in Spring 2015 with three more job positions in various departments. Contact the company for more information on marketing@galatent.co.uk
