Selectapension enhances Asset Reviewer

Selectapension has enhanced the user functionality of its Asset Reviewer software and also boosted the Fund Research tool to help Advisers undertake more efficient and compliant analysis of their clients’ investments.

The enhancement follows analysis of user data from the Asset Reviewer tool. This showed that whilst the usage of the tool has been consistent, the percentage of cases reviewed using the remodelling and asset allocation features has fallen since its launch in January. So Selectapension has developed additional functionality to help Advisers meet the requirements of the Finalised Guidance on assessing suitability for replacement business.

Using the enhanced Fund Research, Advisers can take advantage of an innovative live counter feature to filter results, for example focusing on Morningstar Ratings, OBSR Ratings and Fund Risk Ratings, alongside performance and fund options such as clean share classes. And because this is all available in one system, it saves time as well as supporting Advisers to fulfil their regulatory commitments.

With the news that the FCA has undergone structural changes to greater meet their regulatory priorities, Advisers need to consider that their activities concerning both new and existing clients will be increasingly under the spotlight going forward. So technology such as Asset Reviewer will be even more relevant in the coming year.

Andy McCabe, Managing Director at Selectapension, commented: “Managing client portfolios requires expertise and can be very time-consuming. We were concerned by the fall in cases that were being thoroughly analysed and have therefore made the user journey more simple and easy to use.

“The essence of RDR was to put emphasis on Advisers providing quality, regular advice to clients to ensure they are reaping the benefits of paid-for professional advice. A benefit of sophisticated technology means the days when a client review took two days to complete are gone. With Asset Reviewer this should take no longer than 30 minutes.
