Sunderland software company doubles staff during bumper year

One of the North East’s fastest-growing tech companies is celebrating another successful year as it looks forward to further growth and the launch of a new product in 2015.

Sunderland-based Remarketing specialists SaleCycle created 50 new jobs in 2014, almost doubling the size of its UK team.

During the last year the company has added Paris and Sydney to its list of international offices which now cover the UK, Australia, France, Singapore and North America. The firm plans to increase its international headcount this year with further growth in each region.

The Rainton Bridge headquartered company has made a number of strategic appointments this year and recently welcomed former Sage UK Marketing Manager Michael Barber to the team to lead on new product development including Life-Cycle Remarketing; a new service being developed in 2015.

Established in 2010, SaleCycle is a global leader in online Remarketing, helping some of the world’s biggest retail brands recover lost sales by contacting customers who have not completed online purchases through email and on-site messages.

The company have added more than 200 clients to their portfolio this year alone, including JD Sports, Symantec, House of Fraser and TUIfly, part of the Thompson Group, to further enhance their impressive list of name clients and are currently recruiting a Head of UK Sales role to grow their client base further in 2015.

The new Head of Sales will be responsible for sourcing new customers throughout the UK, the company’s biggest revenue making territory, with scope to engage with brands across Europe, the Middle East, and the African continent.

SaleCycle CEO Dominic Edmunds said: “2014 was our most important year to date. We’ve doubled our staff base and added several new offices and now have staff working across 5 territories globally with retail customers in almost every country in the world.

“Our clients include some of the biggest retailers on the market and we are looking forward to further expansion and the launch of new products and features, with a number of new appointments and office expansions in comming next year.

“Our ongoing recruitment is testament to our success and the new UK Head of Sales role is a strategically important development for us, as they will be responsible for developing our sales strategy and helping the company to expand even further in 2015.

“Working for SaleCycle not only provides people with the opportunity to work with some of the world’s biggest household brands on a daily basis, but also the opportunity to work for a company that has truly global ambitions.”

Since 2010 the company has taken on a steady stream of junior and senior level roles as it continues to expand to meet market demand for its innovative retail software.

The company has consecutively doubled revenue year-on-year and is on track to do the same in 2015 as it continues to grow and add new products.

In May the company was named in the 2014 Pathfinder 20 Index of top emerging UK technology companies, selected by a panel of leading technology executives.
