Tight knit Taylor&Emmet team wraps up charity fun
Staff at Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, donned their festive winter woollies to deliver an early Christmas present to the firm’s annual charity, the Alzheimer’s Society.
Corporate fundraiser, Bethan Wood, was invited to Taylor&Emmet’s final event of the year to collect a cheque for £3,500 – the total money raised in 2014.
Taylor&Emmet’s Christmas jumper day brought to a close a busy year of fundraising, which has ranged from a charity pamper evening, to scaling Yorkshire’s three highest peaks.
As part of celebrations to mark the arrival of the Tour de France in South Yorkshire, Taylor&Emmet took on its most ambitious fundraising event of the year, pitting its cycling wits against Spa Naturel at Mercure Sheffield St Paul’s Hotel. The two teams raced head-to-head in a 390km relay on static bikes, the equivalent of the full Grand Depart distance. Both received sponsorship from family and friends, adding £500 to the fundraising total.
Jenni Arundale, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing assistant, said: “It is great to know our efforts will make a real difference to local families living with dementia and I’d like to thank everyone who has given their time and money so generously to help us support the Alzheimer’s Society. We’ve had a great time thinking of inventive ways to raise funds and awareness of this fantastic charity and we are looking forward to doing the same for another hugely deserving cause in 2015.”
