The Country Gentlemen’s Association combine tradition with innovation through new IT solutions

Based in Warminster, Wiltshire, the CGA was established 120 years ago for the purpose of representing and serving the interests of its members through a unique combination of services such as expert legal and financial advice and small estate management. Many things have changed in the meantime such as the technology that they employ to deliver these services.

The association are using the Wills module of DPS’s case management software for their wills-drafting service, a product which, according to James Baker, Solicitor and Managing Partner at the CGA, ‘’takes away the time-consuming nature of drafting wills’’.

The legal department of the CGA have also opted for DPSCloud, the supplier’s managed IT solution, in an attempt to relieve themselves from the burden of managing technology in-house.

James Baker commented on their choice of technology saying: ‘’What we like most about Outlook Office, DPS’s case management software is the fact that it’s accessible straight from our Outlook email accounts. We can easily flick through our emails and case files from within the same platform, which makes associating the emails with the corresponding matters extremely quick, simple and error-free.’’

DPS’s integrated legal accounting software- Financial Director- complements their case management system, allowing CGA users with no accounting background to easily record financial transactions as and when these occur and record them against the right files in DPS.
