Treske praised for its work at leading Yorkshire school

Treske, the leading North Yorkshire manufacturer of bespoke furniture and kitchens, has been praised for the “quality and excellence” of its work at Cundall Manor School, near Boroughbridge.

The award-winning company, based at Thirsk, has created a brand-new oak reception desk, which has transformed the internal entrance of the leading North Yorkshire independent school.

Sally Kayll, admissions officer at Cundall Manor, explained: “We are absolutely thrilled with our splendid new reception desk. It makes us look much more professional and makes us feel much more secure. Our parents are exceptionally impressed and keep asking who made it for us.

“First impressions are vitally important, especially at a school where parents, quite rightly, cast a critical eye over everything. Our magnificent new reception desk ticks all the right boxes. We can’t thank Treske enough,” she added.

Justin Bartlett, the owner and managing director of Treske, said: “This was an important local commission for us. We designed, made and then fitted the Cundall Manor school reception desk to the school’s specific instructions, which included the Yorkshire Rose and the school motto in the design.

“The oak reception desk features a split-level access for both parents and pupils that created a high level of privacy for the receptionists and concealed the book shelves, while still being welcoming. The desk has an extension to the rear to make it possible for papers to be laid out and sorted.

“Meanwhile a matching desk top was made for an adjacent desk to complement the main reception. The Yorkshire Rose was carved on to both the high level and low level access points with the school motto Vincit Veritas, or Truth Conquers,” explained Mr Bartlett.

He added that the feedback from Cundall Manor has been “amazing”.

“We are exceptionally pleased by both the reaction of the school staff and its parents to the new reception desk. We have already received new leads from the school, including one for a new kitchen, and we are confident that the same design and manufacturing skillset that created the reception desk will also create the perfect kitchen.”
