New appointments for Team Challenge Company follows growth

Team Challenge Company, one of the UK’s largest independent corporate team building providers, has today announced a raft of new key appointments following an impressive 11% growth in bookings, with more than 50,000 individuals attending one of the company’s events in the last 12 months.

The Dunfermline headquartered firm has announced that Deborah Crowley, will now take up the position as Business Development Manager. Following more than a decade in sales and marketing with food and hospitality events provider Sodexo Prestige Scotland, Deborah’s remit is to continue to grow Team Challenge Company’s impressive track record in the Glasgow market, where the company has been working with the likes of Aggreko UK, KPMG and Diageo.

The firm, which is already securing bookings for Christmas 2015 and announced several new exclusive event partnership agreements, has also appointed three further staff to bring its total up to 80. New sales team leader, Keighley Hopper, sales and events co-ordinator, Erin Mitchell, and trainee event manager, Trudie Reid will be deployed across the UK.

On her appointment Deborah Crowley said:

“It is a very exciting time to be joining Team Challenge Company as the company begins to reap the rewards of its £180k investment in new activity and evening themed equipment over the last three years. Having access to more than half a million pounds of our own equipment gives us a greater degree of flexibility for our clients, and the range of products and services offered is second to none in terms of uniqueness.

“My initial focus will be to develop and grow our presence in the Glasgow market, with a view to delivering business activities on a similar scale to our Aberdeen operation, where last year we delivered in excess of 250 large scale corporate events to 30,000 people.”

Stephen Hazley, co-director of Team Challenge Company added:

“Deborah’s appointment is part of our current recruitment strategy, as we anticipate further business growth over the next three years. Deborah’s wealth of experience in relationship building, customer service and sourcing new business will ensure our continued success and we are looking forward to consolidating our market position in the West of Scotland.”

The firm, which operates across the UK and Ireland from its Dunfermline head office, has seen a 39% increase in bookings since 2011. In 2014, the company developed exclusive partnerships to provide corporate team building events for both the top independent hotel brand Crerar hotels and the five star luxury resort Gleneagles. Team Challenge Company has attracted record advance bookings from both private and public sector clients, working with small companies to clients with 15,000 plus employees. Current clients include NHS Scotland, Standard Life Investments and international clients such as oil and gas company Shell.
