Renewables firm Discover Energy begins recruitment drive

An East Yorkshire-based renewable energy company has begun recruiting new staff to help meet increasing demand for its products and services.

Discover Energy is one of the UK’s leading installers of solar PV panels and they are now recruiting three extra staff to help deal with their growing workload with plans to employ up to 10 more people in the coming months.

They currently have vacancies for a site supervisor, an accounts assistant and a sales person.

Discover Energy’s Martin Bleasby said: “We urgently need three more people to help us deliver our impressive offering – we have a growing order book from companies and farmers in East Yorkshire but also from further afield.

“In addition, we will also be needing more people as the year progresses and we will be recruiting extra fitters to help ensure we deliver the very best in solar PV panels for businesses.”

The firm prides itself on being a market leader and not a follower and they have recently moved their offices to impressive new premises.

Mr Bleasby said: “We offer a nice working environment, interesting work and a chance to make a difference – we are expanding quickly so these are great opportunities to join us at an interesting stage and grow with us.”

Last year, the Beverley-based firm helped its growing number of clients generate more than 1 million megawatts of electricity - enough to power a small village.

Discover Energy is installing more than 1,500 solar panels every month and they have orders of more than £1.5 million to be installed over the coming months.

Mr Bleasby explained: “One reason for our success is that we have established a very good reputation which is helping us succeed in a competitive market and there has never been a better time for a business to invest in solar PV.”

However, Discover Energy sets itself apart from its competitors by installing technology that constantly monitors a firm’s solar installation to ensure it is working as effectively as it can do.

A recent seminar staged by the firm in Hull saw dozens of delegates from the city’s businesses turn out to hear how solar PV panels can cut fuel bills and create an extra income stream.

The company will also be installing solar panels at The Deep in Hull to help the charity cut their fuel bills in the coming months along with other installations being carried out at several well-known local firms.
