Merseyside family joinery firm secures six-figure investment

Knowsley family joinery business, M & R Joinery Services Ltd are celebrating a move to new premises after completing a six figure funding deal with The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

The business has acquired new trading premises on Knowsley Industrial Park which will provide the company with greater capacity to accommodate its growing production requirements.

RBS has supported the business with a fee free six figure loan to facilitate the purchase of the £360k unit using the Government-backed Funding for Lending Scheme.

Established in 1989, family run M & R Joinery Services Ltd are the premier manufacturer and installer of traditional timber windows and doors in the Northwest of England.

Operating nationwide, the company has developed its products over a number of years to include traditional sash windows, casement windows, bi-fold doors and period style doors.

The company currently employs 13 which includes four family members and turns over £700k per year.

Phil Levenson, director of M & R Joinery Services Ltd said: “We are really pleased with the new premises.

“Strong sales have meant that we had begun to outgrow our previous site but the new unit gives us plenty of extra space we need to accommodate increased production and will also provide further capacity to expand into as we continue to grow.

“My parents Maria & Rod Levenson set the business up 25 years ago and in that time they have developed a successful company.

“We are very proud to be a family owned and run organisation and since my brother Neil and I have taken over we have continued to focus on its growth and development to ensure its success for many years to come.”
