Wakefield corporate finance team seals deal on yet another transaction

Multi-award winning fds Corporate Finance - part of fds Director Services Limited - has advised on the sale of a London print company to an integrated design company in Soho for an undisclosed sum.

The deal was headed by fds Corporate Finance MD Poonam Kaur and supported by CEO Jo Haigh, who worked alongside Roger Dyson and James Burdekin of hlw Keeble Hawson to drive through the sale within a tight deadline.

Founded in 1997, Clear Sound & Vision Ltd provides print management and bespoke packaging and manufacturing solutions, along with CD, DVD and vinyl global sourcing to sectors spanning the music industry, business to business and financial services. Their acquirer, Once Upon a Time, provides bespoke packaging and premium products to the music industry and boasts a high profile client portfolio including Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, Lindt, Russian Standard Vodka, Hasbro and Disney.

COO of Once Upon a Time Diane Charlton said “fds were excellent in working to our required tight deadlines and instrumental in moving the transaction along at the right times with all parties”

Poonam Kaur, managing director of fds Corporate Finance which is marking its 25th anniversary this year, said: “Working on this transaction with a client like Clear Sound & Vision Ltd has been wonderful. Their MD, Clive Robins, wanted to ensure that we found the right home for his business with someone who can take it to the next level, we believe Once Upon a Time is the ideal candidate.

“fds worked around the clock to ensure that this transaction was completed in just under 8 weeks from the signing of the heads to completion. As with any project, we ensure that deadlines are met and that we provide a win-win situation for both parties.”

Added Roger Dyson, who heads hlw Keeble Hawson’s corporate and business team: “We were delighted to apply our expertise and act for the sellers on this acquisition, ensuring completion within the timescales required by both parties.”
