Doncaster DIY and hardware wholesaling business Centurion Europe Ltd has announced further expansion plans with funding from Barclays.

Centurion Europe Ltd employs over 100 staff across South Yorkshire and turnover this year is expected to be over £10 million.

Centurion Europe Limited, headquartered at Hunt Lane, Doncaster, was acquired by the current owners through a management buyout in 2013.

The company sources product lines for retailers throughout the UK and the rest of the world offering over 25,000 products including tools, hardware, DIY and decorative products.

With over 9,000 customers, they pull together product and merchandising packages specially tailored to a wide range of retail sectors including traditional hardware, DIY, garden and convenience.

Paul Kantecki, managing director, Centurion Europe Limited said: “The new funding from Barclays has enabled a complete office refit and assisted with the creation of an indoor showroom.

“Barclays has provided a suite of products including term lending and working capital to enable us to focus on the long term growth plans we have in place.

“We have also extended our car park to accommodate the increase in both customers and staff over recent months.”

Neil Bradburne, Barclays relationship director commented: “We’ve been working with Paul and his team for a number of years and it’s great that we’ve been able to support further expansion plans for the business.
