Tania brewing success with career at Persimmon Homes

Trainee sales manager Tania Lillie, from Godalming, is building a head of steam in her career with Persimmon Homes.

The 21-year-old has turned her back on working for a national coffee house chain to pursue a career in property, the field she really loves.

And in just two years with the company she is rising through the ranks and is forging a successful path through the Persimmon Homes management training scheme.

Tania, who lives in Godalming, explained: “I was working for a coffee chain and it was the first full-time job I had after leaving school. I became the store manager, but it wasn’t really what I wanted to do with my life.

“When I was at school I had done some work experience at an estate agents, and I knew property was what I really wanted to do. I love helping people find their home and helping them through the process of getting them settled.”

Tania, who is currently working at the stunning Forge Wood development, in Crawley, added: “I began work at Persimmon Homes and qualified under its training scheme as a sales advisor.

“A year later and I am now training to become an assistant sales manager. The learning is all on the job, and I will still be looking after Sibly Park, and will also have responsibilities for our Persimmon Homes development at Forge Wood in Crawley.

“When I am qualified I will be fully responsible for launching sites and I can’t wait. I am so glad I made the move and I can honestly say I have never looked back. It is a brilliant career.”

Elaine Stratford, Persimmon Homes Thames Valley sales director, says: “Tania has made a great start to her career. Her enthusiasm and youthful energy is welcomed by all her colleagues and we can see her moving up the career ladder with Persimmon Homes in years to come.”

Located on the northern edge of Crawley in West Sussex, Forge Wood is part of an exciting new development of one and two-bedroomed aprtments, with three, four and five-bedroom houses. When complete it will offer its residents a primary school, shops, central parkland, a community building and a health centre. Whether you’re a first time buyer, looking to move up the ladder or searching for your perfect family home, Forge Wood is sure to have what you need.

As well as eventually having its own neighbourhood amenities, Forge Wood is also conveniently close to Crawley’s vibrant and established town centre.

Forge Wood is close to a host of great leisure facilities for all ages. Crawley is renowned for its parks and green open spaces which are all linked by the Crawley Millennium Greenway, a circular route around the town for walkers, runners and cyclists. The popular Tilgate Park boasts just over 400 acres of lakes, gardens and woodland, a par 72 golf course and nature centre. There’s also plenty of entertainment to be found nearby: the Hawth Theatre offers a huge programme of events and is set in woodland with an outside amphitheatre, and Crawley Leisure Park, has a 15-screen cinema, bowling, a wide choice of restaurants and a health club.

The first phase of the development has all been reserved.
