Diving in to Corporate Entertaining

A North East event, popular for corporate entertaining, is preparing to celebrate its tenth year.

The Lobster Charity Ball, held annually at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, has already raised more than £250,000 for charity and offered countless opportunities for businesses to entertain clients and provide staff rewards.

Now, as the black-tie event enters its 10th year, organiser John Adamson is anticipating another strong showing from the business community across the North East.

Mr Adamson, who owns Hardwick Hall and Ramside Hall Hotel, County Durham, said: “The majority of guests attending the Lobster Charity Ball are corporate contacts who book a table for their clients, staff and other guests.

“Over the past 10 years their generosity has helped us raise tens of thousands of pounds for charity and I’m confident they will do so again in 2015.

The 10th annual Lobster Charity Ball, on Friday April 24, will be compered by North East comedian Brendan Healy, with live performances by soul star Jocelyn Brown, Musicians Unlimited Big Band and party group Black and White.

Guests will enjoy a four-course lobster surf and turf meal prepared by the award-winning chefs from the Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill, as well as a fashion show and free flowing beer, wine and lager throughout the evening.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Stockton-based charity, Daisy Chain, which provides a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and families affected by autism.
