Dukinfield-based Electrica expands creating 10 new jobs
Dukinfield-based Electrica, an electronics design and manufacturing company is expanding its premises and creating 10 new jobs.
Electrica is expanding its Cheshire operations as part of a £450k finance deal with NatWest.
The business supports customers who work in life science, defence, aviation, research, automotive, defence and residential sectors.
The expansion will also allow for Electrica to continue to operate in Dukinfield and increase its production line and design services to support its growing customer base.
The extension is expected to be complete by the end of March and up to 10 new jobs are to be created over the next 12 months.
Electrica was helped by NatWest relationship director Simon Jones, who obtained a commercial mortgage to facilitate.
Managing director, Eric Nield, said: “We found ourselves in a position where we had outgrown our main premises but due to the specialist equipment we use a full move would have been very challenging.
“So when the opportunity arose to acquire the units adjacent to ours it was ideal as we could expand operations instead of just moving.”
Simon said: “I was delighted to support Electrica with the expansion of its premises.
“The business continues to go from strength to strength and the extension will support its continued growth.
“I wish Electrica every success for the future.”
