Thornton-Cleveleys-based Victrex plc report revenue up 9%
Thornton-Cleveleys-based Victrex plc report revenue up 9% at £130.3m, sales volumes were also 28% ahead of the same period last year.
The company specialises in high performance polymer products and has seen gross margins improve due to better manufacturing efficiencies.
The company did see lower sales into oil and gas however this was offset by growth in its other markets.
Victrex has also been impacted by currency rates and reports that it will continue to be impacted in the second half of the year.
Chief Executive of Victrex, David Hummel, said: “Victrex delivered a good first half performance overall.
“Although we are mindful of the tougher comparatives for the second half and the continued caution in the oil and gas market, we remain well positioned for progress over the full year.”
