Apple Watch Day One Orders Reach 1 Million
The much awaited Apple Watch was finally available for pre-order this weekend and first day sales reports have reached to 1 million in the US. This data was collected from around 9080 shoppers, which that 957,000 people had ordered it on Friday, immediately after it was made available. 62% of these people have opted for the cheapest model—the Sport version of the Apple Watch. However, many shoppers ordered more than 1 watch and and spent an average of $503.83 on their purchase. The people who opted for the Sport watch spent around $382.83. In the past, first generation Apple products have always made their debut in stores. The shipment for Apple Watch pre-orders will begin on April 24. For some models of the watch, the shipments will begin later on in the summer. The data also indicates that most buyers went for the bigger 42mm case rather than the 39mm option. Of the people that bought a Sport model, 32 percent went for the smaller case which is larger than the 24 per cent mid-range Apple Watch buyers. Nearly 64 percent buyers went for a black Apple Watch and 22 with a white one, even though the device is available in a variety of different colors. The Apple Watch is not up for pr-order around the world as well.
