Deminos launches new training courses

Deminos, the HR outsourcing and Employment Law specialist, has launched a new training service.

The firm already provides an outsourced HR department for businesses, along with Employment Law advice.

But, it is now launching bespoke training courses for employers who want to increase their understanding of some of the legal issues they face.

The first in a new series of training courses will give an overview of Employment Law, explaining how to approach and manage key aspects of employing people, and dealing with various issues they are likely to encounter.

Deminos’ Employment Law Overview is aimed at managers who feel their understanding of employment law could be better.

The session will be presented by Training Director Sam Corcoran and Employment Law Advisor Ed McFarlane, and will cover topics including family-friendly rights, employing migrant workers, poor performance and dealing with long and short-term absences.

Ed McFarlane said: “Many managers feel they can’t keep up with the employment law issues they face. With so much to consider, they worry about making the right decisions. That’s why we’re holding the first of our new training courses, to give managers an increased confidence in dealing with employees.”

As well as the London event, Deminos is offering bespoke training solutions for clients, and non clients, which can be held at a venue of their choice.

Managing director Neil Atkinson said: “We understand that every business is unique so what works for everyone else might not work for you.

“Employers who feel they need help understanding aspects of HR, employment law, health and safety, performance management and employee engagement, just need to get in touch with us and we’ll tailor our training to their needs.”

There is space for 24 delegates on the first course at 1 Cornhill, London, on June 24. The course costs £395 + VAT. More information is available at www.deminos.co.uk/employment-law-for-managers
