Housing development launch boosts community with £18,000 donation
More than £18,000 has been given to support local projects and community improvements in Pocklington as part of the new David Wilson Homes’ development launch. Having hosted its pre-launch for the new Pavilion Square development on April 9th at the Pocklington Rugby Club, David Wilson Homes has announced that the funding will be used to improve outdoor playing space and a year’s worth of maintenance in the local area.
Situated on Burnby Lane, the development has also brought 40 local jobs to the town and is helping to alleviate the region’s housing shortage. The luxury housing development boasts two, three, four, and five bedroom family homes, with a range of luxury and unique house types on offer – including the stunning four bedroom detached Holden and the pretty three bedroom semi-detached Archford. The site is already proving popular with a sale and a Part Exchange application over the pre-launch weekend alone.
Sales Manager for David Wilson Homes, Clare Reaney, comments: “As well as building new homes in Pocklington, we want to support and enhance the local community and we hope these contributions will go a long way towards improving the lives of people who live in the local area. The development is helping to ease the local housing shortage, whilst also delivering new jobs for local people, and naturally an excellent array of quality homes for those looking to purchase in the area.”
Clare continued: “It is important that we continue to work hand in hand with the local community to maximise Pocklington’s potential and ensure we’re helping to boost the lives of local residents, businesses and the economy.”
With house prices starting from £198,995 to £374,995, the development offers excellent commuter links to York, Hull and Leeds. Situated at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, the new development benefits from fantastic local amenities and is surrounded by stunning countryside.
