NexusEngage triumphs at the BCSC OPAL Awards 2015

NexusEngage, the consumer engagement specialist, is proud to announce it has been ‘highly commended’ for its work with LG and VIP Electronic Cigarettes in this year’s BCSC OPAL Awards. Recognised as the best examples of creating unique brand opportunities within UK shopping malls, NexusEngage received four shortlist nominations in the experiential, media entry and pop-up shop categories for its work creating pop-up digital experiential windows.

The BCSC Opal Awards is the only UK award programme to recognise and reward commercialisation within shopping malls. They aim to promote the unique commercial brand opportunities available in shopping centres by recognising and showcasing the best examples in the marketplace.

Working with LG, NexusEngage created an immersive TV experience for shoppers at Bluewater and WestQuay shopping centres that allowed consumers to enjoy all of the key features of its Ultra HD, 4K and OLED TV range as if they were viewing it in their own home. Shoppers were then directed to John Lewis, which led to increased footfall and sales.

For VIP, NexusEngage designed the company’s first dedicated ‘Blending Boutique’ located in East London’s Westfield Stratford City shopping centre. Created to allow shoppers to blend their own e-liquid flavour with an on-hand expert mixologist, the luxury VIP lounge contributed to increased brand awareness and helped to re-shape consumer perception of the e-cigarette industry. The Blending Boutique also helped VIP surpass its competitors, re-inventing the way e-cigarettes are being marketed and sold to consumers.
