NCT appoints Corey Skeen as Business Development Manager

NCT Skills is thrilled to announce the appointment of Corey Skeen as Business Development Manager.

The newly created post will focus on engaging with new businesses to develop robust, long standing relationships that will not only benefit the learners but also help the region’s businesses identify talent and train their future workforce. Another key factor within the role will be to enhance the already established partnerships that have benefitted from working with NCT to secure apprentices for their businesses.

NCT offers traineeships, apprenticeships and workforce across all sectors, having expanded its previous focus on the construction sector to a much wider remit, including Social and Digital Media, Business Admin, Leadership and Management.

Corey, who has worked previously at TTA, and following its takeover, Tyne Metropolitan College, brings significant experience to the role and comes to NCT on the recommendation of their Managing Director Ian Wood, who she has worked with previously.

“It’s a real coup for us to have secured Corey for this position. She brings a wealth of experience to the role” said Wood, “I know from experience that her passion and enthusiasm for engaging with employers, to understand what they need from their apprentices, results in effective, mutually beneficial, relationships where our learners thrive and businesses use us as a key means to source their growing workforce.” he added.

On her appointment to NCT Skills Business Development Manager, Corey Skeen commented, “I’m really excited about joining NCT Skills and making the move into the private training sector. NCT Skills approaches their partnerships on a much more personal level which will give me the opportunity to get to know the learners and ensure that I meet the objectives of both stakeholders to maximum effect – helping the learners develop vital skills to achieve their qualification and supporting employers to invest in the right apprentices that one day will hopefully feature in their next intake of staff.”
