Yorkshire’s KPMG Enterprise form new consulting team
The northern branch of KPMG Enterprise is aiming to support SMEs across the region with a newly appointed Consulting team.
The dedicated team will provide strategic management consultancy advice to privately-owned mid-tier businesses across the region, helping them to improve their performance and drive growth.
Led in Yorkshire by Mark Cant, the Enterprise Consulting team, which has drawn individuals from across KPMG’s restructuring, transaction services and management consulting practices across the North, will deliver advice and support around issues such as cash and working capital management, cost optimisation, supply chain management and IT strategy.
Mark Cant said: “At heart, our Enterprise Consulting team is about tackling those knotty business issues that can often slow down a company’s growth ambitions. How can I improve my working capital? How can I sell more, or penetrate new markets? How can I improve my IT systems or pricing strategies?
“We’ve already undertaken assignments for clients across the North which have seen the team deliver real value to companies’ bottom lines. We want to work side-by-side with the region’s businesses, helping them to make better decisions, reduce costs, build a more effective organisation and develop appropriate technology strategies.”
Ian Beaumont, head of KPMG Enterprise in Yorkshire, added: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response since we launched KPMG Enterprise last October, and the creation of this team is the next step in our journey to be the clear choice for all privately-owned businesses across the region.
“As a firm, we have a fantastic track record in delivering sound commercial advice around a broad range of issues that truly helps our clients gain competitive advantage. Our new Enterprise Consulting team will draw upon ‘the best of the best’ of our people, providing value-for-money consultancy to middle market companies across Yorkshire.”
