Aaron and Partners acts for Chester property company
Chester-based law firm Aaron and Partners LLP has acted for Chester property investment and development company William Fishwick & Son on its acquisition of Renfin Limited’s share holding in North Wales Hydro Power Limited, which was finalised last month.
Stuart Haynes, Corporate Partner at Aaron and Partners, acted for William Fishwick & Son in relation to the transaction, which overall sees William Fishwick & Son acquire a 50% holding in the hydroelectric specialist company.
Stuart said: “It is rewarding to have been involved in a deal which encourages positive growth in the hydro industry in Wales and employed the firms expertise in the renewables industry alongside its corporate commercial team, particularly on behalf of a fellow Cheshire-based firm. This is an excellent outcome for both parties.”
Since becoming an incorporated company in 1956, William Fishwick & Son has altered significantly from its roots as a farming enterprise to hold an extensive national portfolio encompassing industrial, office, retail, residential and leisure commercial properties.
William Fishwick & Son director Simon Edwards said: “Stuart acted in a highly professional and knowledgeable manner at all times, serving our interests at all stages of the acquisition and enabling us to reach a very swift conclusion.”
Simon has been appointed as a Director of North Wales Hydro Power alongside the incumbent Richard Rees.
North Wales Hydro Power director Richard Rees added: “The acquisition provides North Wales Hydro Power with additional capital to support the continued construction of its portfolio of hydroelectric schemes in Wales. We’re very pleased with the result.”
