Leading integrated retail solution provider, iVend Retail, today announced the appointments of ex-River Island’s Tim Barton to as Director of Strategic Accounts and Nigel Harris, previously of Dr Martens, as Director of Channel Development.
Tim brings more than 30 years of leadership and consultancy experience in retail, working in environments of scale, high complexity and fast pace. Previously working with River Island, Boots, Ann Summers and Berry Brothers & Rudd, his extensive domain expertise lies in the operational implementation of complex business change programmes, business process improvement and retail technology. As Director of Strategic Accounts at iVend, Tim will lead the development of a portfolio of customers of scale in Europe in conjunction with selected partners.
With over 16 years of retail experience at Dr Martens, where he headed up pan-European IT operations, Nigel’s track record of both managing and implementing strategic solutions in the retail environment makes him well placed to lead iVend’s channel programme. Nigel’s role will see him advising partners on planning, project management and implementation of iVend’s integrated retail management system to their European client base.
“Tim and Nigel come to iVend with a wealth of retail understanding, underpinned by their extensive, hands-on technology experience,” said Richard Kolodynski, Senior Vice President European Operations at iVend Retail. “At iVend we are continuing to build our team around experienced retail experts to add value to our clients at every stage. As passionate advocates of new technology and innovation as a vehicle to change how retailers engage with customers, Tim and Nigel have the knowledge of what makes retailers tick and the know-how of how it can be delivered. We are delighted to welcome them to the iVend team.”
