Sigma Capital builds 927 homes across Greater Manchester and Merseyside
The first phase of a £1bn portfolio to create 10,000 new rental homes across the UK in the next five years is underway.
Sigma Capital, the residential and urban regeneration company, has already begun developing 927 new homes across 14 sites in Greater Manchester and Merseyside with a total development cost of around £106m.
It is currently ahead of schedule with a quarter of the units already built or under construction.
Sigma is working in partnership with Gatehouse Bank to deliver the planned £1bn portfolio.
Secretary of State Greg Clark said: “It is encouraging that Sigma is harnessing up to £1 billion of investment for the construction of 10,000 new rental homes in the UK.
“Underpinning the Sigma model is their work in partnership with local authorities who have a crucial role to play in the rapid delivery of new housing.”
