Accrington Garages refurbs thanks to £175k RBS funding
Accrington Garages has announced a refurbishment programme at its dealership, thanks to funding support provided by The Royal Bank of Scotland in a deal worth a total of £200k.
The showroom and service centre on the Burnley Road will be upgraded and modernised.
Works are underway with a view to completing the programme this month which has been partly self-funded alongside a cash injection worth £175k from the bank.
Established in 1993, Accrington is still today a family business run by father, Wal Singh and sons, Moni and Jag.
The company employs over 20 full-time staff and last year achieved a turnover of £4m.
Managing director of Accrington Garages Wal Singh, said: “We are really excited about the refurbishment works and look forward to seeing the finished results which will provide a comfortable, modern setting to display our new and used cars.
“David Mitchell and the team at RBS have been instrumental in allowing the refurbishment to take place. We have worked in partnership with them since we started out in business in 1993 and the support we have received during this time has been excellent.”
Relationship director of motor retail at The Royal Bank of Scotland, David Mitchell, said: “I am pleased we can support companies in the industry, like Accrington Garages, seeking to make improvements to their business.
“Accrington Garages is an award-winning family business and a company we are delighted to be associated with.
“The new-look showroom and service centre will no doubt create a modern setting well suited to the cars they sell.”
