Commercial cleaning firm celebrates 30 years in business
Launched in March 1985 by Jim and Annette Doran, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Liverpool has celebrated its 30th year in business.
The company, based in Speke, has built a reputation for delivering excellent commercial cleaning services to businesses in and round Merseyside and has grown into a million pound business in that time. The company currently employs 150 trained staff and manages over 90 contracts.
In 1996, local businesswomen Lynette Moorcroft joined the company as contracts manager and has expanded the company’s area of operation into Warrington and Runcorn.
Lynette said: “It’s a special year for us here at ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Liverpool; celebrating 30 years is a tremendous achievement and I believe we’re successful because we do a great job at a great rate.
“Our staff are the key to our business and ensuring we have the best people doing the best job sets us apart from our competition. The cleaning industry has changed vastly over 30 years and we have been able to adapt and stay ahead, whilst keeping costs down and service levels high.”
In March 2013, ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Liverpool started a special working relationship with Liverpool Life Sciences UTC, based in Greenland Street, Liverpool. The company provided a team of 12 cleaners to work on the very special building, which is a piece of the ‘old Liverpool’. Once a Victorian warehouse with exposed brickwork, the premises presents a huge challenge for the cleaning team but each is trained to clean and maintain the 150 year old property.
Lynette added: “Liverpool Life Sciences UTC is the first school in the UK specialising in Science and Health Care. The building is unique and not like any other school which makes it all the more interesting. It is laid out over 6 floors; it has a dance studio, sports hall and 120 seat cinema. ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Liverpool is delighted to be working with Liverpool Life Sciences UTC.”
