hlw Keeble Hawson cooks up £1,500 for charity with ‘Indian Quizine’ event

A Sheffield law firm has spiced up its charity quiz night and raised £1,500 in the process.

The Sheffield office of hlw Keeble Hawson organised the ‘Quizine’ event, in which twelve teams were tested on general knowledge and specialist topics.

The event, held at the 7 Spices Balti Restaurant in Sheffield, was part of the Master Cutler’s Challenge - one of the largest annual charity fundraising events in the Sheffield region. Participants are given £100 ‘seed money’ from which they have to organise a series of events to raise as much money as possible over a six month period.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to both the Master Cutler’s chosen charity - Brathay Trust in Ambleside - which works with some of the most vulnerable and disengaged children and young people to help them develop the skills, motivation and confidence they need to make positive changes in their lives, and hlw Keeble Hawson’s chosen charity - Help for Heroes - which aids those who have been wounded in Britain’s conflicts by providing financial, medical and psychological support.

With offices in Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster, hlw Keeble Hawson is one of the region’s largest law firms and is at the heart of the business and wider community.
