Canning O'Neill assists property developer db symmetry in Manchester move
Property consultant Canning O’Neill has assisted db symmetry, the commercial property developer, in its move to an office suite in Manchester’s Old Bank Chambers.
Relocating from the Grampian House building in Deansgate, db symmetry has signed up for a five-year lease on 1,141 sq ft of space, which the firm is renting for £15 per square foot.
The director of Canning O’Neill, James Dickinson, said: “The suite has commanding views over the rooftops of the city and has been refurbished to an exceptional standard, benefitting from a full access raised floor and air conditioning. db symmetry will join long-term tenants Barclays which occupy the remaining floors.”
Old Bank Chambers, the six-storey building located near Old Bank Street in the centre of the city, consists of ground-level retail space and five floors of office accommodation.
Commenting on db symmetry’s decision to relocate, company director Andrew Dickman said: “As this office will become our new headquarters for the North, it was imperative that we selected a prestigious scheme, which was centrally located and offered good quality accommodation for our staff.
“We are a long-term investor committed to developing millions sq ft of space throughout the North.”
He added: “We’ve expanded considerably over the last three years that we have been in Manchester, to the point that we have also taken out an option on the rest of the floor to support our company’s continued growth.”
db symmetry has a number of projects in the pipeline across the North West, including the M6 Epic warehouse in Wigan, which will see a 110,000 sq ft unit constructed on 6.27 acres of land, and the 11-acre Venture Fields leisure and industrial development near Widnes.
Following the company’s move to the Old Bank Chambers, only 1,661 sq ft of space remains available in the building.
