The Right Fuelcard Company in final line up for two National Business Awards

The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC) - an independent distributor of Shell, Esso and Keyfuels fuel cards to UK businesses - has been shortlisted for both The Employer of the Year and the UKTI Growth Business of the Year categories in the 2015 Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

TRFC, a committed people champion with a 52-strong team which is marking unprecedented growth since being launched in 2011, has made the final line ups in the coveted awards where companies hail from wide-ranging sectors including recruitment, children’s clothing, pet food and online marketing. The turnovers of the shortlisted businesses span less than a million pounds to over £25 million and they employ from 20 people to over 70,000 people.

News of the shortlistings follows TRFC achieving its highest ever annual volume of sales in June 2015 and marking a recent milestone expansion to York just nine months after the Hunslet-based business launched an office in Harrogate.

Adam Walsh, TRFC business director, said: “We’re extremely proud to be shortlisted in both categories for these high-profile accolades. Our commitment as a people champion, underpinned by our values-driven and transparent HR strategy is resulting in powerful growth at this formative period. Being a finalist has also generated a real buzz and excitement in the team.”

Tom Broughton, Programme Director of the National Business Awards, said: “The quality and range of this year’s entries exceed even those of last year, which is no mean feat. The draw of being involved with the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards has seen companies from all kinds of industries submit applications, which have been narrowed down using our thorough and comprehensive scoring system. We are now looking forward to the next step in the judging process and meeting some of the finalists face-to-face.”

Finalists were chosen from the hundreds of businesses that entered or were nominated across 18 award categories. They will now prepare for live presentations to expert judges who will decide the overall winners that will be revealed at the awards ceremony on 10 November.
