Parrott & Coales Head of Private Client Division

The largest solicitor’s firm based in Aylesbury, Parrott & Coales LLP, has made a significantly strategic move to grow and shape its Private Client division through the appointment of Abigail Farley-Howson as Head of Department.

Abigail has 10 years experience in private client law and is highly skilled in business development. As a Senior Associate and Department Head, she will be responsible for the direction and development of the Private Client division and its team including the possible expansion into new areas of private client work.

Abigail attended school at Aylesbury High and has lived locally most of her life. Prior to being a solicitor she worked in retail and the film industry but entered law as a second career. After years of dedicated studying, whilst juggling the pressures of raising two young children, she qualified as a solicitor in September 2005.

A decade on, Abigail has in-depth experience across a broad range of private client services including wills, trusts, probate and Court of Protection practice. Plus, having been raised in a family run business, she has a good understanding of the requirements of growing and planning an exit from a company.

“I knew before I started my training in law that private client work was an area I wanted to focus on. It fascinated me, mainly because of the opportunity it gives to help and support clients who are often facing difficult times,” said Abigail. “However, my goal has always been to become Head of Department so I can use my combined skills in private client law and business development to make a significant difference in shaping the future success of the firm, its staff and the services we provide. Now, as Head of Private Client, I will focus on ways to bring competitive advantage to the department and the overall firm as well as support and develop my team so they too can achieve their career goals.”

Sarah Plumridge, Managing Partner of Parrott & Coales, added “Our Private Client team has seen a significant increase in client work so we needed someone that could turn this success into an opportunity to take the department forward. Abigail has the leadership qualities we need to make this happen and we are delighted to have her on the team.”
