Expanding businesses take new space at Princes Dock

Two existing tenants of Princes Dock, Liverpool Waters have agreed to increase their office space at the waterfront site.

Dunlop Heywood and Prospect Law will occupy over 3,000 sq ft between them within the Grade A specification buildings which are owned and operated by Peel.

Prospect Law, a Liverpool based law firm, will move from a four person office in The Quay, Number 12 Princes Dock, to a 2,300 sq ft suite in Number 8 Princes Dock. Since it started trading in March last year, the organisation has witnessed strong growth with eight full time employees and plans for significant recruitment over the next year.

Commercial property consultants, Dunlop Heywood, are relocating to a larger office suite at the Quay. The business currently employs three members of staff at its Liverpool office but plans to double in size over the next eight months.

Gerard Long, director at Prospect Law, said: “Our office move highlights the rapid evolution of our business. We hope that this new location will permit us to achieve our aims of becoming one of the largest independent law firms in Liverpool.”

Managing director at Dunlop Heywood, Stuart Hicks, added: “We needed a new office space to reflect the growing nature of our business in Liverpool. The move is part of our long-term strategy and will allow us to increase our staff numbers and offer a number of new services to our clients.”

Princes Dock is situated in the proposed redevelopment scheme of Liverpool waterfront; Liverpool Waters. With over 225,000 sq ft office space, it is home to 35 businesses and over 2,500 employees for some of the UK’s largest firms including KPMG and PwC.

Office space on Princes Dock is set to expand after permission for a new 100,000 sq ft build was granted by Liverpool City Council last month. Number Five Princes Dock, formerly referred to as William Jessop House, was first announced at MIPIM in Cannes earlier this year.
