Popular daytime TV presenter Alison Hammond headed to the North East to unveil a new-look clothing store.

The This Morning star greeted queues of excited shoppers at Gateshead’s intu Metrocentre, as she opened a new branch of Yours Clothing, which has relocated to the centre’s Green Mall.

The new, larger store is part of a national chain offering fabulous fashion in plus sizes for women.

Alison said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be opening one of my genuinely favourite shops and it’s great to see the amazing turn out for such a fabulous store.
