Taylor&Emmet takes training to property agents

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is helping the residential management sector get its teeth into leasehold property law with the introduction of specialist bite size workshops.

The firm’s expert solicitors are running in-house training for new and existing clients across the UK, aimed at improving professional development among managing agents.

Taylor&Emmet’s seminars focus on a wide range of subjects from service charges and arrears, to dealing with disruptive leaseholders. The courses are tailored to the agent’s needs and bespoke sessions can be created, where appropriate.

Cassandra Zanelli, Taylor&Emmet’s head of property management, said: “These informal workshops are intended to help managing agents get to grips with everything they need to know about leasehold legislation, but are too afraid to ask. We are experienced presenters and use an interactive format to engage and entertain delegates, regardless of existing experience or expertise. The feedback we have received so far has been fantastic.”

Taylor&Emmet’s training sessions are an extension of the webinars and presentations its property management specialists run on behalf of national organisations, including the Association of Residential Managing Agents, the Leasehold Advisory Service and Federation of Private Residents Associations. They are offered free to agents who use the firm’s services regularly or can be paid for separately.

Valued clients can also take a complimentary one day secondment from a member of Taylor&Emmet’s property management team. For more information about the additional services offered to agents, telephone (0114) 218 4000, visit www.tayloremmet.co.uk or follow the firm on Twitter, @te_propertylaw.
