Help Musicians Recommend Bond Payroll Services
Bond Payroll Services, a BACS registered payroll outsourcing solution, has been selected by Help Musicians UK, the leading charity for professional musicians, to provide it with an outsourced payroll service to manage the payroll of its 24 employees, further to a recommendation from the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).
Help Musicians has helped thousands of musicians establish themselves in the music business, get through a serious crisis, cope with long term difficulties and enjoy retirement. They play a vital role supporting working musicians who are dealing with an illness, injury or accident, give financial grants to pay for medical treatment, specialist therapies and living costs and provide one-on-one help to those with life changing situations. Additionally, they improve the quality of life for retired musicians by providing regular payments and social visits. Help Musicians UK also offers grants and provide long term opportunities to emerging musicians directly and through partnerships and help with short-term treatment costs for music students experiencing health problems.
Having traditionally managed payroll in-house, Help Musicians decided to outsource payroll to another provider with whom it had a longstanding relationship. However, this partnership was fraught with problems, including errors, contractual issues, data protection discrepancies and delivered poor customer service. It was at this point Help Musicians embarked upon a three month tender process for a new provider, and was impressed with the NCVO’s recommendation of Bond Payroll Services.
Rosalind Williams, HR & Facilities Manager, Help Musicians UK comments, “Our previous provider really let us down so we had a very strict list of pre-requisites for any new provider. The tender process took three months in total and Bond Payroll Services were up against four really strong competitors. Bond Payroll Services were recommended to us by the NCVO who have selected them as its trusted provider. We trust the judgement of the NCVO and have a good, close working relationship with them. We were also very impressed with the clear understanding that Bond Payroll Services have of the charity sector and decided to work with them moving forwards.”
Williams concludes, “We have been working with Bond Payroll Services for two years now and the customer service we have received has been excellent. Payroll is always ready to be cross-checked well in advance and they are always quick to react to any questions or queries we may have – we have a really good working relationship and I would be happy to recommend them to other organisations looking for an outsourced payroll provider.”
