Clough & Willis to stage LPA Week
Bury based law firm Clough & Willis will be holding its 2015 LPA Week from Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October at its Manchester Road office.
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) enables you to appoint a trusted friend, relative or professional to make decisions about your finances, property and personal welfare in the event that you are in an accident or you develop an illness that leaves you unable to make such decisions for yourself.
Sally Cook (pictured) – solicitor & head of the private client team at Clough & Willis, commented: “As a society we are all living longer so the need to protect our interests is becoming ever more critical – especially as cases of dementia are expected to rise sharply over the coming years. Understanding the importance of having a LPA can be daunting and confusing so we hope this week long event will dispel the myths and help make people really consider their long-term plans.“
