intu Metrocentre turns over a new leaf for autumn fashion with designer collaboration

intu Metrocentre is preparing to turn over a new leaf for its autumn/winter 15 fashion campaign. For the first time ever the shopping centre has teamed up with a critically acclaimed fashion designer; Celia Birtwell.

Globally-renowned print designer Celia Birtwell has worked with the fashion industry’s biggest names, including world famous Italian fashion house Valentino and has been commissioned by intu to create an exclusive print for autumn winter 15, in the brand’s first ever fashion collaboration.

As part of the centre’s autumnal fashion events showcasing this season’s key looks, customers visiting intu Metrocentre will be able to snap up a limited edition tote bag featuring an exclusive Celia Birtwell print, unique to intu, which combines two of the season’s must-have colours in a one-off design.

As well as the designer collaboration intu Metrocentre will be celebrating autumn winter fashion with the a/w fashion shows from Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th October in Town Square.

Customers visiting the centre during its launch of this season’s fashions will be able to get their hands on one of the exclusive bags by spending £50 or more on intu Gift Cards in one transaction from Thursday 8 – Saturday 31 October.

Helen Atkinson, intu Metrocentre marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Celia Birtwell and giving shoppers the opportunity to own one of her limited edition printed bags.

“Celia Birtwell is an inspiring designer to work with and her print really captures the essence of the new season collections.

“Join us from Thursday 8 October in Town Square as we get our first real look at the a/w 15 trends now available in the centre.”

Also leading the parade of models down the catwalk on Sunday 11 October will be intu Metrocentre’s Head of Fun, eight-year-old Mackenzie Toal, from Prudhoe and his deputy, seven-year-old Myah Rose Wilson, from Sunderland.

The duo will be giving shoppers the opportunity to see what well-dressed children will be wearing this season.
