Liverpool solicitor shortlisted for national award
A solicitor from Liverpool who founded his own law firm at the age of 29 has been shortlisted for a national award.
Richard Bennett, a Partner at Bennett Williams Solicitors, is in the running to be named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Modern Law Awards 2015.
Bennett and business partner, Gaynor Williams, launched their firm in July 2012 to specialise in debt recovery, commercial dispute resolution and insolvency law.
Since then, they have built up a nationwide network of clients, including FTSE 100 and AIM listed companies.
They have won a number of awards and will shortly be moving into larger office premises.
Bennett said: “It has been a roller coaster ride but we have have worked hard to stand out from the crowd – what sets us apart is our specialist knowledge, our fixed fee pricing structure and our approach to customer service. So far, things have been going really well and being shortlisted for awards and recognised for our achievements is the icing on the cake.”
In an interesting twist, one of the shortlisted finalists Bennett will be up against is Lauren Riley, a candidate in the 2014 series of The Apprentice.
Bennett will find out if he is a winner at a black tie ceremony in London on 19 November 2015.
