Harrison Drury adds to litigation team
North West law firm Harrison Drury has bolstered its litigation offering with the appointment of experienced commercial litigation lawyer Helen Griffin.
Helen joins Harrison Drury, which has offices across Lancashire and Cumbria, as an assistant solicitor after three years at Hayes and Storr in East Anglia.
The 32-year-old, who is originally from Holmfirth, Yorkshire, has over seven years’ experience in the profession.
In her new role at Harrison Drury, Helen will provide specialist legal advice to businesses on all aspects of commercial disputes, including resolving shareholder and partnership disputes, disagreements relating to the supply of goods and services, contractual disputes and issues surrounding the acquisition of firms.
Colin Fenny, director of dispute resolution at Harrison Drury, said: “We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of new instructions on commercial disputes over the last couple of years.
“Helen’s appointment brings the number in the team to nine and means we are well placed to meet this increasing demand from our clients. It demonstrates Harrison Drury’s ability to attract the best lawyers, both within and outside of the region.
“Helens experience and expertise in commercial litigation means that she will be a great addition to the team.”
Helen added: “I’m looking forward to helping North West business owners in resolving disputes on a range of contentious matters. I also have strong family roots in Preston so I’m thrilled to have moved to the area.”
Helen qualified as a solicitor in 2010 after completing her training contract at West Yorkshire-based Jordans Solicitors.
