100 jobs created at Manchester Shopping Park in build-up to festive period
An upcoming McDonald’s restaurant at Manchester Fort Shopping Park is set to bring the total number of jobs created at the site in recent months to 100.
Retailers Mothercare, Trespass and Specsavers have all opened new branches at the shopping facility since August and, with a McDonald’s due to launch before Christmas, the site is set to become fully occupied.
Manchester Fort’s centre manager, Lynette Bray, said of the openings: “The fact that we will be fully occupied in the run up to the busiest periods of the year is not only a boost for the shopping park, but also provides visitors with a huge range to choose from.
“Not only will we now have a great range of stores with a wide variety of products, we also house a number of fantastic restaurants which are incredibly popular with our visitors.”
She added: “The addition of our new stores will be very timely and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the shopping park ahead of their celebrations at the end of the year.”
According to Manchester Fort, the Mothercare store has gone on to become of the top five best performing in the UK.
