Lawyers in the pink for charity
Staff at the Stratford upon Avon office of law firm Lodders were in the pink when they took part in the national ‘Wear it Pink’ day, the flagship fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Now charity.
Lodders has supported the breast cancer charity for the last five years, during which time it has raised £hundreds thanks to staff donating cash in return for wearing something pink to work.
“It was another fantastic pink turnout this year for this very worthwhile cause,” said Lodders’ senior partner Martin Green. “Our staff certainly threw themselves into the spirit of the Wear it Pink day once again this year. It is a really great way of raising awareness and valuable funds to help the great work of an incredible charity.”
Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, created by the merger of Breast Cancer campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer, and is dedicated to funding research into the disease. Every year, Wear it Pink raises around £2million, which is used to fund world-class research across the UK and Ireland. To date, the fundraiser has raised £27million.
