Hart Brown contributes to Surrey charity Skillway

~~Law firm Hart Brown has been supporting the Godalming “Proms in the Park”, a GO Godalming Initiative, for a number of years. Hart Brown’s generous sponsorship of the 2015 “Proms” concert enabled a total of £1,052.01 to be raised for Skillway, a local charity that raises the self-confidence and motivation of teenagers through apprentice-style teaching of manual skills in their workshops by skilled craftsmen. The 2015 “Music in the Park” concert was one of the best attended, and this result was achieved by the combination of a voluntary collection, the sale of sweets and cold drinks, and a Pimm’s tent run by the staff from Hart Brown which raised £437.

Present at the cheque handover to Skillway were Sharon Powell, Partner, and Rachael Brady, Solicitor, from the Hart Brown Godalming office; Vivien Gillman and Greg Bleach from Skillway; and Joy Poulter from The Go Godalming Association.

Commenting on the success of the event, Joy Poulter, MBE said, “I am thrilled that we are able to support Skillway in their valuable work of raising the motivation levels and self-esteem of local teenagers through the teaching of workshop skills. We are very grateful to Hart Brown for their continued and active sponsorship of this concert and look forward to working with them again next year.”
