Teesside’s Archers Law completes £4.4m deal
Archers Law, the Teesside-based law firm, has completed a £4.4m deal on behalf of Churchill Property Services Ltd, which sees the sale of a freehold site on Aycliffe Business Park incorporating 40 occupied units.
Aycliffe Industrial Park is home to around 250 businesses with a strong association to the manufacturing and engineering sector.
Patrick Quigley, Associate Solicitor for Commercial Property at Archers Law, said: “Our client’s site was a mixture of industrial and office units, and those businesses will all continue to operate as normal.
“We advised on all areas of the deal and liaised with professional partners including accountants and surveyors. Given the economic upturn in the commercial property sector I am advising upon an increasing number of transactions of this value.”
“Deals of this nature are not always straightforward as there can be various implications including those involving tax and employment. My employment colleague Lauren Mills advised on the latter; but it was a quick turnaround largely due to the commercial focus of my client.”
Martin Granville, Director at Churchill Property Services Ltd, said “It was a quick turnaround and involved a number of us working closely together. Patrick and the team at Archers completed the deal on time. It is comforting to have a team of professionals to call on to ensure that corporate objectives can be met to agreed timescales.”
