Athena Law Bolsters Corporate Team
Manchester based commercial law firm Athena Law has further strengthened its practice with the appointment of a new corporate partner.
Donna Powell joins Athena from Gateley, having worked previously at Cobbetts. She specialises in acquisition, private equity and shareholder matters, and has a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors.
Donna will join the Athena team in providing expert, commercially focused advice and support to businesses and business owners across the region.
Commenting on her appointment, Donna said: “With a commitment towards straight-talking, pragmatic legal advice, joining Athena was a natural step for me. I look forward to contributing towards the growth of the firm, and to providing the high-quality support and representation our clients need to flourish.”
Founding partner Paul Willan added: “At Athena, we provide a holistic and seamless service that meets the full range of our clients’ business needs. To help us do this, we’re committed to the steady growth of our firm by attracting and appointing the right team of experts. As such, we hope to be able to announce two more appointments shortly.
“With plans to increase the number of partners at Athena to 10 over the next two years, we believe this sustainable approach to growth will not only meet the needs and expectations of our clients but will also create an infrastructure that works for our partners.
“I’m delighted to welcome Donna on board, and I’m sure she’s going to become an invaluable member of the Athena team”.
As well as providing corporate, commercial litigation, commercial property, and employment law advice, Athena Law also has a range of integrated relationships with specialists in taxation, intellectual property, and finance.
