Squire Patton Boggs reveals plan for 27,500 sq ft Spinningfields base

Squire Patton Boggs, the international law firm, is set to establish a new 27,500 sq ft base in the Spinningfields area of Manchester.

The company will occupy three levels on the tower floors of developer Allied London’s No.1 Spinningfields building.

From 2017, when the Spinningfields development is complete, the Manchester base will become a flagship centre in Squire Patton Boggs’ network of 44 offices spread over 21 countries.

Allied London’s Spinningfields estate director, Chris Reay, said: “Squire Patton Boggs is a global business with a clear ambition in Manchester.

“Only No.1 Spinningfields could accommodate their requirements, being the highest specification building outside of London and offering the unrivalled environment of Spinningfields.”

He added: “We are developing a world-class building and it will provide the perfect opportunity for Squire Patton Boggs to attract the best talent in the legal sector.”

In addition to offices, No.1 Spinningfields will comprise a rooftop bar, restaurants and events space for corporate and private hire.

Squire Patton Boggs was advised by property consultancy OBI Property during the deal, while law firm Shoosmiths represented Allied London as its legal advisor.
