The Landing becomes Digital Catapult partner

The Landing, a digital enterprise hub at MediaCityUK, has been announced the first Manchester-based partner of the economic growth driver Digital Catapult.

The facility has become one of nine locations across the UK chosen by the Catapult to develop the UK’s tech and digital scene.

With The Landing now part of the Clusters and Communities Programme, tenants will have access to various initiatives, challenges and collaborative projects set up to drive creativity, encourage fresh thinking and, ultimately, stimulate enterprise.

The Digital Catapult’s marketing and centres director, Jenni Young, said: “We are really excited about the launch of our partnership programme. The Digital Catapult is here for the UK and committed to maximising our reach across the widest range of SMEs, scaleups and startups.

“Our new regional partners, such as The Landing, have access to a high volume of innovation talent with direct relevance to our focus areas and our aspirations.”

She continued: “Such vibrant communities of exciting companies are developing breakthrough products and services, and disrupting traditional business models in the tech and digital sector.”

The Landing is the second name in the North West tech scene to partner up with Digital Catapult, joining economic development company Liverpool Vision.
