MSI Group named top healthcare recruiter
MSI Group has been ranked as the fastest-growing privately owned healthcare recruitment company in the UK following changes to government legislation designed to curb agency staff spend within the NHS.
The recruitment company, which operates across every available NHS approved staffing framework, was ranked number two on this year’s Recruiter Fast 50 league table. It was the highest ranking healthcare recruiter, and one of nine specialist healthcare recruiters to appear on the list.
MSI Group’s success can be attributed to its unwavering commitment to ethical recruitment. Since it became mandatory for NHS Trusts to procure temporary staff through NHS approved frameworks, MSI Group has seen its client base grow exponentially as Trusts seek out suppliers who can offer value for money without compromising on quality or compliance.
Commenting on the accolade, CEO, Nick Simpson, said:
“Staff shortages within the NHS have been widely reported in recent months. An ageing population, retirement cliffs and insufficient talent pipelining have all contributed to an acute shortage of permanent healthcare professionals, and agency nurses and locum doctors provide a valuable service that, for the imminent future, the NHS simply cannot do without.”
“However, while some other recruitment consultancies have historically taken advantage of the NHS’s desperation to maintain safe staffing levels by charging extortionate rates, recent legislative changes mean that now, only the most ethical and compliant recruiters are thriving.”
“We are incredibly proud to work within every single NHS approved framework agreement, and our appearance on the Recruiter Fast 50 is testament to valuable work we have been doing with Trusts to help migrate ‘off-framework’ spend to ‘on-framework’ spend. Thankfully, it seems the so called ‘rip-off’ staffing agencies have had their day, and Trusts can now reap the benefits of a flexible workforce secure in the knowledge that they will no longer have to compromise on quality, compliance or value.”
